This skit is violently self explanatory. Droz actually thought up the basic gag, over the course of six to twelve seconds, as he was backing into a parking spot outside our house. We went inside, made up some lines, shot it in my bathroom, then re-shot it in his (for the better light), I edited it and had it online roughly four hours after Droz'd come up with the idea. What possessed him to think the damn thing up is probably a catechism best left unanswered, but I think it's funny how sometimes we sit around all day trying to come up with ideas, and our Grand Theft Auto skit took months to make, and we made this whole video from conception to broadcast in an afternoon.

This was the second promotional video we made for the non-existent second season of our podcast. If it's surprising we planned on making more episodes of our podcast but never got around to it, remember we're the same guys who didn't finish our cartoon, website, reality show spoof, web comic, novel, sitcom, comic book, or ice cream sandwiches.

In a rare moment of amour-propre I will say I'm proud that the outtake at the end of this video is the only outtake we had. We managed to keep a straight face for every other take of every shot in the video. Also keep in mind there was a close up of my ass cheeks bouncing hither and thither as I manipulated myself that I feel we sagely decided against using in the final product.

This was also the first time we used Droz's Sony Cyber-shot T100, a sub $200 point-and-shoot digital still photography compact camera that had a video mode on it, to shoot something. Because of its size we were experimenting with using the camera for video for a different project, and realized that we could just whip it out at a moment's notice to make a whole skit. Looking back at these, I'm disgusted with the video quality.

This little gem was one of the fastest executed skits we've ever produced since we started making videos. And I mean "we" as in, I come up with an idea and stand in front of the camera for a few minutes while Davis spends 90% of the rest of the time focusing on camera angles, lighting, post, editing, etc. So yeah, fastest skit we've ever done. Very simple, and to the point. I think the only thing I was worried about was my wiener showing up on camera, so in hindsight it's my pleasure to announce that there were no wieners in the skit.
